This Privacy Policy explains how LeadBook(“LeadBook,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, chat with our AI assistant, submit a form, or receive notifications from us. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways. We aim to describe our actual practices accurately; where a feature is not yet active, we say so.
Website chat (AI assistant). Our website includes an AI chat assistant. When you use it, we collect the full content of your conversation— everything you type — together with the contact and job details the assistant is designed to gather from that conversation, which may include your name, phone number, service address, a description of the problem you need help with, and how urgent it is. This is the only feature that currently sends your information to an outside service: your chat content (including any phone number or address you type) is sent to and processed by our third-party large-language-model provider, Anthropic, which generates the assistant’s replies. See “Service providers” below.
Contact / intro-call form. Our website includes a form that asks for your name, business name, phone number, email address, trade or service type, and an optional message. When you submit it, we send your submission to us by email through our email provider so we can follow up with you. We only collect what you choose to enter.
Notifications you ask us to send.If you give us your phone number and consent to text messages, we use it to send you the notifications you requested. See “SMS / text messaging” below.
Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type as part of serving the site. We do not currently run advertising or analytics cookies.
How we use information
- To respond to your chat messages and qualify your inquiry.
- To follow up with you about your request — by email — and to connect you with a business owner who can help.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the website and our service.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect against misuse or abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
SMS / text messaging
If you provide a mobile number and opt in, we may send you text messages related to your inquiry or service.
- We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
- SMS messaging is opt-in. We send texts only after you consent to receive them.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Service providers (subprocessors)
We use the following third-party providers to operate the service. Providers marked “where applicable” are not active yet and will only process information once the corresponding feature is enabled.
- Anthropic— powers the AI chat assistant; your chat content is processed by Anthropic to generate replies (active).
- Vercel— website hosting and delivery (active).
- Resend— our email provider; used to deliver form submissions and owner notifications to us (active).
- Twilio— to send SMS / text notifications (where applicable, once SMS is enabled).
- Stripe— to process payments (where applicable, for paying clients only).
Data retention
We keep the information you submit for as long as we need it to respond to your inquiry and provide our services. Lead and contact records tied to inactive inquiries are reviewed and deleted after 24 months. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so within 30 days unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us at jake@getleadbook.com. Depending on your location, additional rights may apply.
Children
Our website and service are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
